there and loved... stanley market  Stanley market was ok. I was not to impressed with the market myself. I was expecting to find all the latest fashion and hot deals. only to be hasseled and bum rushed when I turned every corner... Hidden treasure I was born and raised in Hong Kong, but have been living in USA since 1975. Stanley to me was a remote area that was known for its correctional facilities. When I went home in 2005, my brother... Souvenirs galore  Stanley Market was a great place to purchase souvenirs such as T-shirts, jewelry, scarves, children's clothing, and many other trinkets. Part of the enjoyment was the trip to Stanley along the... WELL WORTH THE BUS TRIP There are some truly spectacular views to be had from the bus to Stanley.
Once there just soak up the great atmosphere. It's nice to just wander through the alley ways or along the beach... Too Expensive I like the location but the items for sale are too expensive. Better bargains can be found at the street markets in, say, North Point. Atmosphere is pretty good. Probably not. Two words to describe Stanley Market: Tourist Trap.
If you're going to Stanley Market, expect high prices and not that much haggling. Even though the prices are low when converted into USD... try to visit the Maritime Museum in Stanley Stanley is not only a shopping market.. it is a good time for escape... if you have time to spend time on the beach.. and there is a new Museum called Maritime Museum. It collected the history of... Tourist Shopping Paradise Although I was born and raised in Hong Kong, since I have been in the State for half of my life, it was such awesome to find a place that I could shop for many different Chinese goods and gifts...
