The Nativity Facade, the original work by Gaudi, is simply amazing. The beauty and complexity of it is staggering.
The Passion Facade, newly completely, is much more modern and contemporary... Must seen This place is so spectacular that I have to say that it is a "must seen" in Barcelona. It is still under construction now, but it is amazing already. Make sure you take the stairs (sorry... The heart of the city We instantly fell in love with the artist/architect. The view from the top is a great overview of the city. It's a shame that it is still a work in progress. The city hasn't been feeding... Nice place to see once. This is an extremely intriging cathedral. This project has been ongoing for over 100 years. What I didn't quite understand is the fact the the newer construction architecture is so very different... Maybe in the next 50 years OK, the exterior is well worth the trip, but I regret paying to go inside to only see scaffolds and cranes!
The Museum underneath isn´t worth visiting if you´ve been to La Pedrera or Casa Battlo... Absolutely amazing The unfinished Sagrada Familia is the masterwork of Antonio Gaudi, whose colorful, fantastical architecture is visible all over Barcelona. The church is absolutely incredible inside, with huge stained... not worth going in its nice to take pictures from the outside, but inside theres not much for the kids. you gotta see it? the la sagrada familia was the best cathederal that i have ever seen. The work and dedicatioon that was put into it was excellent. The Thing to See If you only have one day in Barcelona, this is the thing that you have to experience in this city. This cathedral is still under construction, but the cranes and scaffolding do not take anything...
