I didn't like the fact that we had to pay $10.00 per person to tour the Bowfin sub, 7 years ago it was free. As a Honolulu resident I think I should have gone on free. Where is all that money... get there early the monument is stunning, very emotional, get there early to avoid long lines! you can take a digital camera but no cell phones or video cameras are allowed going back i couldn't help but cry, when i saw all the names on the wall. i went two years ago and now have a chance to live in hawaii for the next 5 years. i will go back with my husband, daughter to... we would like to visit again we were amazed to see oil bubbles still coming to the surface of the clear blue waters.truly an amazing place to visit.even though it was a hot day we each had a cold shiver in our back Complete the experence. Do not miss going to Ford Island, I felt it brought things more to light of what it was like that day. Visiting the Utah and standing along the shore of battleship row was a very different view... been there twice Have been to see The Memorial .First time in 1985,second,May 2006. When you can see the oil still leaking out,after all this time ,about a quart a day I was told,it makes you wonder about a lot... Pearl Harbor Memorial - don't miss out This is a fantastic experience. It is free to go and extremely informative. You view the museum and take a short boat road out to the memorial. Extremely Touching This is a must see in Hawaii. It was such a touching moment to step onto the memorial. It is amazing to think that those sailors still lay beneath you in the tomb of the ship.
