Th edistance round the lake is pretty much the same as a standard track so you can really gauge your distance well. There is public water and restrooms available.... A Place to relax!  As a newcomer to Downtown LA, finding this park has been wonderful. This is a place to jog and just get way from the hustle of city life. However it is still close enough to downtown to have magnificent... Echo park Gangland USA  lets get real here for a second.
Echo park is a drug dealers playground it is surrounded on all sides By bad areas and Gangs.
DO NOT GO AT NIGHT!!!!
dispite the lovely looking picture... The Town, the Street & Echo Park. This place is a little grotto of simplicity between China Town and Silverlake.
The toen known as echo park has little glamour but then that is why I liked living there for almost three years.
... Awesome Echo Park! Echo Park was and is the perfect family spot. Nice, peaceful, relaxing atmosphere. The people in the neighborhood are wonderful and make you feel welcome.
The food is great. The price is wonderful... My home I actually live in Silverlake but this is close enough. I grew up here. The greatest views of downtown are everywhere. Great (but fading) architecture at every point from the 30's and 40'... The park you gotta go! This is the park you absolutly gotta go when you are in L.A..It is located near downtown L.A., so it is very easy to get there. Nice looking park  I drove through the park on the way to a dodger game. Nice park. Saw some picnic tables. Seemed safe but it is very close to downtown, so it might be some what shaddy. be careful. Fun & Urban I wouldn't call it a tourist attraction, since I lived there, but it's such a beautiful park & area, especially for a somewhat low-income, urban locale.
Not much to do at the park, but...
