NOT A GREAT NEIGHBORHOOD TO VISIT Unique Experience I've visited many places all over the world, and this is one of the highlights. Astounding to think it could have been created by one man with a vision. Did he use scaffolding?
The only... Nothing like it there's nothing I can say I disliked about it at all. I liked the story behind the towers and how it was made by things that were donated by local friends and eveb strangers. Once in a million years! Take all three views, long from Graham & 107th; medium from 107th St and close up if the tour guides are there. Nothing like it.
Buy a book at Art Center and learn more. American Gothic This is on of the most impressive landmarks I have seen in this country. Especially because of its location -- South Central LA, where two most devastating police brutality incided riots took place... Impressive! The creator of the tower used ordinary objects such as broken plates and glasses and an enormous amount of time to create a mosaic tower. Even if the artist's vision is not to your taste you... Surprisingly Impressive!  Impressive structure and history. I had a preconceived notion of who built it and why. It's worth a stop to read the history on the fence up close and personal.
