Worth a visit Vieux Montreal (or Old Montreal) is the oldest area in Montreal, dating back to the colonial times (the 1600's). It is worth a visit for a tourist or new-comer. Go see the Notre Dame Basilica, walk through the streets and have a lunch at one of the restaurants. All... Closest thing to Europe in North America Walking through the streets of Old Montreal is like walking down the streets of an old European city. Here you can visit the Notre Dame, and also go for a horse drawn carriage ride. The streets... This place is amazing !!!!!! This place really tells the whole story about Montreal. There's a great atmosphere there and you feel free and welcomed. Seeing the horses is unusual but after a while you get used to it. It... Montreal boasts cobblestone streets (careful not to twist your ankle), more... Old Montreal was very beautiful I thought that Old Montreal was very beautiful, and the people were very friendly. You may think that they talk only in French, but they also talk in English, though they may sometimes mistake French... I never been outside the USA I was a teenager when my church and I went to Montreal.I had a wonderful experience going to speak French also to be known as Americans. We visted the musuem,walk around the new & old Montreal.... Beautiful A beautiful place europen styled with an incredible ambiance.Great food ,beautiful women.If you ever been to New Orleans and loved it you will surely love Montreal's old montreal and old port.
