we have a large zoo near us in chester but
found this zoo more interesting. seeing the hippos swimming is spectacular, we dont have that in england... Excellent The Zoo in Calgary is an awesome place! Especially for little kids! My kids loved the large play ground and we had an excellent time. I loved it It was amazing! everything was so quiet and peaceful. All the animals are so beutiful. I rely liked how every animal was in its own teritory!!! Prehistoric Park Book The book Prehistoric Park is an extinction doesn't have to be forever!Travel with Nigel Marven via time portal as he rescues endangered creatures and brings them back to a present day wildlife... Good.. The animals were fun to see and learn about. Information was provided for those interested in reading about the animals. The butterfly garden is by far my favourite area in the Calgary Zoo. The... BORING!!! Certainly not worth the $15. price tag. Mangey critters, not well planned, nothing to see.....absolutely the worst zoo ever. If this is Calgary's best attraction, then don't bother to... Overall, a great experience I like this zoo a lot. It is not as good as some, but recently they have added new attractions and centres. That's good for someone like me who lives here. WE ARE COMING BACK... I loved it all so did my family,I lived in Banff as a younger women and couldn't wait to have a child and bring him here ,he was 7 last year and LOVED the adventures of seeing new things/displayes... fantastic my self and my husband went (no kids) and we are in our 40s. we were told it was great but it was better than that. set in lovely landscape so you never knew what was around the corner. after 3... Calgary and environs Calgary Zoo is large but not like Toronto...where one walks for-ever. Numerous animals can be seen from one location.
Pre-history...the terrain is more interesting than the inside of the Zoo.
