Dont go, dont waste your money and if you have to go do not stay at The Thavorn Beach... Excellent Place!  I loved pretty much everything about Patong Beach, the locals are all pretty friendly, shopping is great, nightlife is good! the resort we stayed in was nice with good service. I am going back this... I'LL Be Back YeeHaw  Travelled to Patong Beach,Phuket in the spring of 2006 and 2005 and what a beautiful place, the people are great and the nightlife awesome, have traveled the whole island by motorbike and found... WOw WOW WOW What an amazing place. Patong was great , the beach was ok, the night life was out of this world. The food cheap, can get exoensive if you want. Seafood was about 30 u.s. it had shrimp, prawns,... I wish i were there right now! There was absolutely nothing i didn"t a d o r e in Phuket and Patong in particular;i fell in love with the place the very moment i set my foot there!I love Thailand and Phuket in particular... We love it!!! My wife and I have been three times (2000 , 2002 and 2004) and we absolutely love the place. We're going again in February 2007 with our 2 and 4 year old boys. They will have a ball and we... Very crowded beach, too many jet skis  Do not go to Patong Beach if you like to swim in the ocean. The beach is really crowded with hawkers and there are so many jet skis that it is not safe to swim in the water. Patong Beach would... MAD IF YOU DON'T This was my wifes first time overseas and about my fifth.
She was blown away by the sights and the people.
Little place on the beach to eat suma something it was called the people staff and even... We did not like it This place have changed a lot for worst since we were there in 1998. Lots of traffic, pollution, prostitutes, expensive seafood ($40 per person)overbuild. Dirty dogs runing all over the town. Shops... NIght out in Patong  Well, I cannot recommend coming here for cheap seafood. Dinner for two at Savoy seafood restaraunt: 6 oysters, two fish plates and two Singha beers... $76.00 USD. Not what I expected.... after that...
