All Answers: Answer #1 Hi There,Jasper is a lot less commercialized then Banff is. It's difficult to say on what to do. There are many hiking trails in the area (as pretty much all of the national parks have). As for what to do in town.. There really isn't much. Some resturants, a couple of pubs is about it. Its a very quiet town, I believe there is only one stoplight in the entire town - answered by Jim A
Answer #2 Hotels in Jasper are all broadly similar in price. Any good travel site should let you compare them. There are NO chain or brand name hotels, except the Fairmont Jasper Park Lodge which is by far the most expensive.Sights: the Athabasca Falls, not too far south. The breathtaking walk up to the Glacier of the Angel at Mount Edith Cavell. The aerial tramway up Whistlers Mountain, not to be confused with the British Columbia ski resort of the same name! - answered by Sawbuck
Answer #3 There is a restaurant in Jasper called the L&W and it has GREAT food. there is also one called Miss Italias and it also has good food there. They now have some fast food places, and if you are looking for some good pizza the Jasper Pizza Place is the place to go. I don't know about hotels, but for activities, there is the Columbia Icefields which is about an hour south of Jasper, and on the way there are some beautiful waterfalls. Near Jasper there are a lot of places to hike and if the weather is right there is some good White Water Rafting...nothing too rough. Have fun! - answered by Beverly B
