Question : Trip to Colorado from Boston....should I bring my board?
Flying in to Denver then renting a car. Should I just rent a set up there and not be bothered with lugging my board and boots all the way out there? It's not much of a money thing becuase if I take my board, I'm going to buy a travel bag for my board plus have to rent an SUV as opposed to economy whip so the money is pretty negligible.Any opinions? Going to Vail and Breckenridge.

I'd take my own gear. I hate using shitty snowboard rentals!

I was just at Vail two weeks ago...it's fantastic there.Unless your board is not any better than the rentals you'll get, bring it. It'll be nicer to just be able to take your board than to have to set up a new one. Also, you'll feel comfortable on your own board.

Definately bring your own board. You don't want to go all the way out there and then have to ride on a crappy rental setup. It's not that hard to lug around your board. I just put mine in my bag and check-it like regular luggage. I don't really think that you'll need an SUV either. Depending on how many people you're traveling with you can just rent a compact car that has fold-down seats.
