Answer #4 Think about renting a car! Seriously, it might still be the cheapest alternative since it is a direct line from Maine to Quebec City. Rentals have great 3 days package deals on weekend (when it's slow for them). I figure, $100 total in costs including gas.Take US Route 201 through Skowhegan to the Jackman entry point. The road will become Route 173 and it's a straight line to Quebec City (boring but straight, you're in serious wilderness country up there; 5 1/2 hours). There are no direct flights from Maine to Quebec City; I just checked Greyhound and they do not offer any service from Quebec City to Portland,ME either so you unfortunately do not have a lot of options.Hope this helps (and for the record, you will love Quebec City. Arguably, part of what I call the 4 corner roses of North America : Quebec City, QC - Charleston, SC - San Francisco, CA - Vancouver, BC). Try to go in early August during the Fetes de la Nouvelle-France where they will bring you back 300 years or try spring for great skiing (in Mont Ste-Anne) and maple syrup tastings everywhere. - answered by CapnCrunch
