Question: Jellyfish in Nassau, Bahamas?

Question : Jellyfish in Nassau, Bahamas?
I will be visiting Nassau, Bahamas soon, and much to my delight will be doing some snorkeling. I was wondering if anybody had any tips on how to avoid jellyfish and their stings, also if anybody knows what kind of jellyfish are in the area and how bad their stings are. Also if any one has traveled to Nassau if they can give me some pointers on fun places to go, things to do, and where to eat for a reasonable price. Thanks!

I've snorkled the bahamas dozens of times and haven't gotten stung, except for the time me and a girlfriend jumped in the water in the dark, drunk one night in Harbour Island. Even then the sting wasn't bad. There's a lotion called safesea that you can apply to prevent being stung. They sell it anywhere they sell sunscreen. You most likely won't get stung though. I wouldn't waste any energy worrying about it. Nassau is touristy and crowded. Try the local cuisine, chonch, fresh caught fish. Bahamians are generally friendly, but if you're a female, the men are harmless but annoying.
