Answer #6 I would have recommend driving (its' only about 3-4 hours) if you go early in the morning when there's no traffic. But you dont't want to use a car.I honestly believe flying is the next best thing. Book on time and you get great deals.I have never heard of people taking the bus to Montreal but I'm, sure you can. Check Grehound/Peter Pan to find out. All buses eave from South Station in Boston. - answered by Killer Chick

Answer #8 It seems your Answerers simply ignored (!!) your Question's parameters of not much money and you do not want to rent a car.Bus is your only option (no direct train service any more, since 40 years ago, alas). - answered by Hank
Answer #9 Well, I've gone several times, and drove a few times. Was a pretty easy drive. If you don't have a car, then you should try looking for a bus special. My friends all took a bus up there once, and they got a special like, hotel, bus, etc. . combined for a really cheap price. Dont' forget though, if you are booking early, check airlines for cheap prices! - answered by ShouldBeWorking
Answer #10 Go to boston.craigslist.com and post an ad looking for a ride-share. People drive up to Montreal all the time from this area and you're bound to find someone who would be happy to take you with them if you'd pitch in for some expenses.Otherwise, you'll probably need to take a bus. - answered by mutherwulf
