If you like hotdogs try a street vendor. The Reagan and L'Enfant plaza have several fast food restuarants in them. Many of the federal buildings (Agriculture, Commerce etc) have cafeterias just be sure to bring identification. On 17th between G and H street is COSI its like a panera bread but better. I always stay in Residence Inn at Crystal City if your a Marriott rewards member they serve dinner and breakfast included with the room

Ruby Tuesdays, or the Golden Coral, the Golden Coral is actually more of a buffet spot but for a moderate price the food is good

A trip to D.C. would not be complete without a visit to Old Ebbitt Grill. It is a D.C. staple with moderately priced food that is quite good. Try to sit in the main restaurant or the back bar, i love the back bar, it's very quaint but you definitely see lots of D.C.'ites hanging out after work. it's a great place and oh so D.C.Also, go to Ben's Chili Bowl, it's very famous in D.C. Dirt cheap and fabulous chili creations. If you're looking for something more upscale, I recommend Equinox. Looking for something in Georgetown, go to J. Pauls, Bistro Francais or Clydes, all moderate prices and pretty Georgetownish. If you're looking for a great slice of pizza, some mini burgers and a scrumptious salad, look no further than Matchbox in Downtown D.C. near the MCI Center. Hope this rambling helps you in some way and ENJOY your stay in our nation's capital!
