Question : what is the best way to travel "fly" with a mountain bike?
I live in PA and want to do some mountain biking in Aspen in the spring. I want to fly out there but dont know the best way to take my bike.

Answer #2 Cheapest and most reliable way is to send it Greyhound. Pack it up, put it on a bus, pick it up in Aspen at the Greyhound stations. Costs something like $30. That's how I shipped my bike when I was going to Georgia from NJ. - answered by Switch Angel
Answer #3 Or just avoid the hassle and rent a bike out there. The ski resorts and bike shops have good bikes for rent. Bring your shoes and pedals, and tape measure your seat height etc before you go. That way you can rent a full downhill bike one day to ride the chairlift, then an XC bike the next day to explore the singletrack. - answered by scott.braden
