All Answers: Answer #1 Yes flights, accommodation, food and especially drink is very expensive: 12 Canadian dollars for a pint of beer is no exception.Try Denmark, Sweden or Finland instead, they are about 25 % cheaper and still more expensive than Canada. Budget traveling in northern Europe can“be done in Estonia, Latvia, Lithuania there is a lot to be seen as well. Prize level way under that of Canada. In central Europe Czech is a good choice both budjet and attraction wise. - answered by Tero J

Answer #3 The journey to Norway isn't that much more expensive than any other European country, but being a tourist in Norway is quite expensive. Hotels, eating out, car rental, alcoholic beverages, it's all costly. If you have friends you can stay with that could save you some money, and unless you're traveling around I'd look into a short time apartment rental so you have the possibility of eating in some of the time. Regardless of cost Norway is worth visiting. Of course I'm Norwegian so I'm not entirely objective here. - answered by Annette K
