Question : DO I NEED A VISA TO TRAVEL TO DOMINICAN REPUBLIC or ANY OTHER CARIBBEAN ISLANDS??
One of my friend is an Israeli Citizen who's a US Permanent Resident Card Holder and another an Indian Citizen who's a US Permanent Resident Card Holder as well. I'm a US CITIZEN, we are planning to take a trip in the caribbeans,do my friends need Visa's to travel to the Caribbean Islands or their country's passport along with the US Permanent Resident card sufficient?? ANSWER ONLY IF U KNOW, NO STUPID ANSWERS PLEASE!!! THANK YOU.

The resident card is sufficient since it serves as proof of residency in the US, especially since youre only travelling there. Starting in January, the requirements will become more strict. Consult with your airline for more details.

Yes as of Dec.31,2006 everyone entering or leaving the United States are required to have a valid passport... as far as your friends passport, I would reccomend that they contact the County Courthouse in thier home town and ask the Clerk of Courts for they would be better able to answer the 2nd part of your question pertaining to your friends passport

Don't you have to pay a one off ten dollar fee to get into the Dominican? I did but I went from England not the States.

As citizens of the united states-you and residents-your friends, you would not need a visa.I'm from the Dominican Republic....HAVE FUN!!

As far as I know you don't need a visa, only a tourist permit, that you can buy in the Dominican Republic airport once you get there, It cost about 5 dollars. I know this because my DH is a born US citizen and he hasn't been in my island yet, we are planning to go next year and that's what we were told by the Dominican Republic consulate in NY city.
