Answer #4 I think it's going to be on a country by country basis - a felon will have a problem getting a passport, I think. I don't even think Canada will admit felons, and you don't need a passport to go there from the US.If a felon wants to go to Canada, they should let someone else do the driving as they run license plates at the border. - answered by Actual Reality

Answer #10 No. A us citizen convicted of a felony is unable to obtain a passport, and thus unable to travel abroad. Unless this convicted felon is able to get the courts to expunge his/her record, they will not be able to travel to any country that requires a passport. - answered by susan w

Answer #12 yes, the government will issue you a pass port unless you are on parole or on probation , if so your probation officer or parole sup, will need to okay it , once you have a passport you won't need a visa to go to most countries , if the country you intend to visit requires a visa they will decide wheather or not to grant you a visa, good luck - answered by jim ex marine offi,
