Question : can you travel to the virgin islands with just a drivers license or is a birth certificate required???

Answer #3 If you are a US citizen going to the US Virgin Islands, all you need is enough ID to get you on the airplane, as if you were going to New York or Atlanta or wherever. - answered by pseudo obscure
Answer #4 I visited St. Thomas and St. John in the mid-90's and only needed a driver's license. If you contact a travel agency they should be able to help you with the specific areas you'll be visiting. - answered by Newlungs2004

Answer #6 For now, a driver's license is all you need. On January 1, 2007 though you'll be required to have a passport. The weird thing is that to get here all you'd need is a birth certificate or driver's license but to get back into the US you'll need a passport. Even though the USVI is a US destination, we're being lumped into the foreign country category. I believe the local government was attempting to get some sort of waiver for the USVI but nothing has come of it yet. - answered by Hector S
