Question : Hi. I would like to go over to Canada to travel and work.?
I'm thinking of going to Canada next year to do a bit of travelling and find some work. I know you can get a six months tourist visa but to obtain a working one it appears you a work permit and therefore a job. I'm struggling to find any agencies or anybody that can help. Any ideas?

Come to Malta. Malta is a small island in the middle of the meaditerranean, below siciliy (italy). Its cheap and great. The sun is always shining no matter the season. Its always warm and beautiful. There are tonnes of pubs wherever you go. Since its an island we enjoy the sea with 100s of beaches where you can fish freely. A couple of promenades surround the island with many cheap restaurants which offer a quality of food. Well you cannot go anywhere else. Malta is famous for is welcoming and warm people. Imagine Malta has its own village for music, fun and discos. Its called Paceville with many resturants, discos, pubs, bars, karioke's... Malta has a wealth heritage will Temples dating to 3600BC. Malta is your tourist and relaxing island.

easy one...if your under 30 go to www.bunac.org...you can get a working holiday visa which will let you work anywhere in canada for up to a year. the only restrictions are you cannot work in healthcare or child care. hopefully this helps! If your over 30..tough luck!

OK, I am doing this right now here in Canada. Assuming your American like me, until Dec.31,2006 you don't need a passport but Jan.1,2007 you will need a passport to re-enter US & 2008you'll need passport to enter Canada. You need to apply for your work card right now while your outside of Canada solely because it's easier. Your Social Insurance number will be issued with that card(like social security number). If your planning on staying here, you must be documented at the Canadian immigration at the border. You would be smart to look up the CIC website for furtherdetails. PS I was transfered up to here with my job & still need a work permit.
