HiYou say she will be 28 weeks along? Assuming you have your dates right or the Doctors have them correct,..I would not expect any trouble as she wo uld be 7 mos along. You did not mention if she has any other health issues or if its first pregancy and has been trouble free so far etc...HOWEVERPregnancy increases your odds of blood clots and so does flying , especially long flights....If she is very anxious this can cause issues as well.Of course she should not take any medications without doctors permission to ease anxiety or air sickness etc...Many people fly while pregnant. I feel much of the safety in this varies person to person, and is very effected by each persons own health. There is no standard answer really. There is alot that can go wrong in any pregnancy really, being on a plane simply increases the time it will take to get treatment.... Tough to land quickly anywhere if you are over the ocean! So keep that in mind, and mae a plan in the event she were to go into premature labor, or have other issues....maybe ask the airlines ahead what kind of medical training the crew has and equipment. They may also have some suggestions, or be able to make some accomodations for your wife as well. Make sure you let them know when you make the reservation AND when you borad that your wife is 7 mos pregnant. Don't assume they will guess.Make sure the flight is as stress free as possible for her and she drinks plenty of hydrating liquids ,, water , sports drinks etc.. stay away from caffiene and no alcohol of course.Make sure she gets up and walks around and stretches as much as she can tolerate... those lower legs need to move.Even if this means disturbing her sleep she should not lay dormant the entire flight even if she is sleeping.... Now the most important thing to do.... and I can strress this enoughTALK TO YOUR CURRENT DOCTORS!ask them about it all as they know her health issues and background...then Make sure you have covered the bases for vaccinations and locating a new hospital and physician oncec you arrive in AU.Good luck to you guys... I have friends that live in Perth and on the Gold coast as well... AU is a gorgeous place to live!Take careWismom

You may want to check with your Dr...it is unsafe to fly in the last trimester...some airlines won't lwt you fly if you are pregnant and in the last trimester. It can bring on early labour
