Keep asking around people who have pugs. Maybe they know someone who breeds non pure breeds of them and then they'd be cheaper.

http://www.doggies.com/Pug/Albertathe breeders aren't trying to make a killing from each litter of pugs.. they are very expensive to breed.. they have small litters, and require an ultrasound at 55 days (expensive!) and then more 1/2 of them, and even a higher percentage if of show quality..require a c-section..which is risky because of their pug noses, and costs typically $1,000 -$1500 per litter....

I dont understand you. If you are willing to pay to go get a "cheap one", then why wouldn't you be willing to take that money and buy a good one from a reputable breeder for a fair price. All pure bred dogs are going to run you $500 or more and will take much more than that in vet bills, food costs, any thing it may tear up or pee on...If you want a cheap puppy...go to the ASPCA. Get a mutt, they need a home and you can take the $400 you have left and get a good fluffy bed, some good food, a toy and a bone and have a new little friend, not a certain kind of looking dog.

Go to your local shelter or Pug rescue and get yourself a cheap dog there... The dog will be neutered or spayed with possible free obedience class (depending of which shelter, rescue you go to)... It is alot of fun saving dogs from being put down! Also if your looking for a cheap dog to breed... you might want to take a look at this FIRST..
