Question : Novels that take place in Napa?
I like to read books that are set in places I am about to travel to. Does anyone know any good fiction that takes place in Napa Valley?

I haven't read the novel myself, but based on the content of the movie made from it, Sideways by Rex Pickett should have alot of information about Napa Valley.If you don't mind reading alternate history fiction with a militaristic slant then S.M. Stirling's CONQUISTADOR may be of interest to you. It supposes that a small group of post-world war II soldiers from various nations go through a portal in San Francisco to an alternate reality in which California is an upspoiled pre-historic wilderness. Many of the newcomers set up shop in Napa Valley and 100 or more pages of the book is spent describing how they live and work and eat. Not strictly factual information, but I found it to be entertaining.
