Check Greyhound, shouldn't be too much from Montreal to Ottawa.

Check out the rideshare section at
http://montreal.craigslist.org/There is always someone offering a ride to Ottawa. Most ask that you pay for half of the gas, about 10-20 bucks.Goodluck!

take the greyhound- I think it's about $30 CDN
