Question : My travel agent states the ferry from Playa del Carmen and Cozumel is closed due to pier problems! Yes or No?
She said that the cruise ships are tethered, but did not think that the ferry was running from Playa del Carmen to Cozumel. We wanted to leave the mainland to see Cozumel and snorkel there, but don't want to travel to Playa and find it is down. Please report anything that you know about this!!!

This is the first I have heard of this. I am also a travel agent. It would amaze me, since the locals rely on the ferry for getting back and forth to work. It is not possible. I suggest you phone. 80044 mexico.That is the Mexican tourist office. Ask them.
