Question : Do U.S. citizens need Visas to travel to Jamaica?
im wanting to go travel to bob marleys land and i wanna know all the specs, if anyone knows if i need a visa and if i do, how much does it cost and where do i get it?

if your a us citizen you should get an passport the amount varies about $175 maybe. the law is not totally ieffect but it will be in december...also the travel agency should give you a list of requirements for traveling to that country anyway.

You dont need a visa. After Dec 31 2006, you will need a passport.

Yeah you need a passport, they run about $170.00. You will need to get shots and things before going. Your doctor can tell you all the shots and vaccines you will need to get before going. Oh yeah and have fun.

Yes you will need a Passport. And Actually, it only will cost you approx 97.00 (I just recently went through this, as in just received my Passport last week)Get everything you need..(below)Two documents proving you are, well, "you"1. Photo ID (such as your Drivers License, or Military ID)2. Certified Copy of your Birth Certificate. (This MUST be a Certified Copy with a Raised Seal from either the State or County!! Cannot be a City Seal!! and trust me.. they mean this!Be ready to give more than just this!! Went through He!! getting mine.. If you have the following, put it in the envelope!!* Baptismal certificate* Hospital Birth certificate* Census record* Early school record* Doctor's record of post-natal careYou will need (2) two photo's of yourself. (just go down to the local Walgreens and have this done! They can take your picture and you can walk out of the store (for a nominal fee)once you have everything you need.. Go down to your local Post office, and tell them you are applying for a Passport. They konw excatly what you will need to do.Remember your will need two Checks..1 check to pay the Post office2 check to pay for the passport itself. Sorry, but I'm not sure of the ammount.You can get your passport much quicker, but for a "Hefty" Fee. (anywhere from 50 to 150 dollars.Also remember, it is going to take a Minumum of 4 weeks to recieve even notification that your passport has been acepted, or then need more info.Good luck and Have fun! passport not needed.. you will need 2 forms of id state or drivers license and your birth certificate or passport if you have it. like the other person said not until next yr will it become mandatory to have a passport to travel...
