All Answers: Answer #1 McDonalds. - answered by alias_dictus_tony
Answer #2 You can try Union Station. There are sit down restaurants (Uno's Pizzaria, America-if it's still there), and a couple others, or the bottom level has a bunch of other places to eat to include choices of Chinese, Seafood, Italian, Mexican, etc. I used to eat there all the time because of the choices available. Or you can go to Georgetown which also has a variety of good restaurants. - answered by Elaine
Answer #3 No! Do NOT eat McDonald's. That fast food crap will give your kids cancer. Try the Post Office Pavilion food court. It is on the Mall and near all the monuments. Have fun! - answered by jzarwel
Answer #4 with kids? pirate adventures! - answered by cheeze_it12
Answer #5 Depends on what area you are in. Downtown, there is a Fuddruckers on 7th and F NW--- not my cup of tea but kids love it. In Adams Morgan there is The Diner and also Duplex Diner, both on 18th Street, both have diner food with a little more "style" than the typical diner, so parents and kids both will be happy. There are also a number of Ethiopian restaurants on 18th Street (Adams Morgan)--- if you have never had Ethiopian, you eat with your fingers and scoop everything up in napkin-bread (like a crepe almost) so kids love it. But service can be slow in Ethiopian restaurants so be sure the kids can stand it...U Street Corridor: Ben's Chili Bowl (11th and U NW I think?) or Polly's Cafe on 14th and U, or Cafe St.-Ex (14th and T NW) which is named for and themed after the guy who wrote "The Little Prince"Pennsylvania Avenue area has a ton of restaurants which get a lot of kids since that's one of the key tourist spots.DuPont Circle- try Bucca di Beppo or Kramer Books and Afterwords Cafe, both on Connecticut Ave. NWOn any weekday, there's a large number of Chinese/American buffets on or near K Street (downtown, business district) that can be a quick and inexpensive lunch spot. Literally one every block or two!Stay out of Georgetown--- it really has lost its charm, and it's way overpriced and one long tourist trap. - answered by patti_iis
Answer #6 I would say the Pentagon city mall has pretty good food that the kids would like but it can be pretty crowded - answered by cassieo13
Answer #7 ESPN Zone, maybe a tad pricy but the kids will have a ball there. It;s pretty much an arcade wiht some table to eat at, there's also a bar if the adults want to get a away from the noise. - answered by kelly
Answer #8 Another good food court option is the Old Post office on Penn. Ave. which has a good selection of food and is located right downtown. Cosi's makes another good stop. Its located all around town, serves good sandwhiches and coffee. However the real treat for kids is the s'mores that you roast there. They bring out a little kit, so its a pretty good after meal treat. Other than that, as another DC resident, I agree with the listings of patti_iis, who covered most of the areas quite accurately. - answered by doubleb747
