Mexico is GREAT place to go to!The people are warm and friendly!Like any large city - be careful to stay in a fairly good part of town and keep your eyes open, but I feel safer in Mexico City than a LOT of other world cities.Please go and enjoy your visit.Check out their awesome ancient ruins and museums!

It has dangerous areas. Do your research ahead. It is always a good idea to plan an agenda. Lock up your valuables in a safe or carry them with you.

It is safe but be careful when you take a cab specially at nights (there´s lots of fake cabs, they call ém Pirate cabs and you may be propense to robbery or kidnapping) if you wanna take one from the airport take one that you pay the service for in there, there´s lots of robberies like in any big city so try not to wear gold or big watches elegant clothes, try to use public transportation and keep your money hand safe ,,,try to avoid an area called Tepito specially if you do have the tourist looks! downtown is safe during the day but not at night it is good if you get a companion You can go to polanco , Zona rosa, Coyoacan specially at nights its cool! Xochimilco and the so called trajineras and if you can then go to the pyramids (teotihuacan) ......
