Question : Alpine skiing in Eastern France?
Perhaps near Strasbourg, or anywhere that could feasibly be enjoyed in a day with travel commencing in Frankfurt?

There is no ski resort near Frankfurt that can be enjoyed in one day, along with travel. The best you can do is a two day holiday, travel at the start of the first day and end of the second, and stay overnight at a cheap hotel.

There's a ski station about 30 km east of Colmar (about an hour from Strasbourg) at Col de la Schlucht on the D417. It's at 1135 m, so it closes fairly early in the season.
