Question : What are top 3 "Must See" tourist attractions between Calgary and Winnipeg in the summer of 2006?
We're travelling from Southern BC to Winnipeg for family reunion this summer and want to visit just a few high quality historical or "natural history" or "industrial tourism" sites along the way.

The stunning and majestic backdrop to the multi-Oscar-winning "Brokeback Mountain" is southern Alberta. Many of the film's most memorable scenes highlight this prarie province's fabulous natural parks as well as a few select towns and cities. But, you don't need a film crew to enjoy these settings -- they are all fully accessible to tourists and part of the charm and adventure that is luring increasing numbers of visitors to Alberta."Brokeback Mountain" Alberta filming locations

They were told that smugglers and criminals, such as legendary American gangster Al Capone, used to use them as hideouts. The tunnels are now used as a tourist attraction and two interactive tours of the tunnels are now available. One tour is about the bootlegging days of Al Capone; the other is about the Chinese immigrants who lived in the tunnels in the early part of the 20th century. It is Moose Jaw's main tourist attraction[2] and has attracted people from all over the world.

Well traveling from Calgary to Winnipeg on Hy way 1 does not offer very much in my book its pretty flat and boring with the exception of the badlands, now going south towards the Lethbridge is nice but even 60 miles WEST of Calgary you get some of the most beautiful scenery in the world Not 100% sure about Brokeback Mountain but my guess is you would have to travel West or South West of Calgary towards the foothills to get that scenery. I have travel between Calgary and Winnipeg more than a dozen times its pretty flat you can drive all day and the scenery never changes.
