i want to travel to italy in the summer alone. Is it safe?

yes it is. Only be aware of some areas around train stations at night especially in big cities like Rome and Milan.

Absolutely! Just beware of your purse if you carry one and stay aware of what's going on around you. 99.99% of the Italian people are wonderful and willing to help. The other 0.01% are the ones you need to watch out for. Better to go early Summer. Avoid July & August - it's just too hot and the air conditioning is not what you would expect and definitely not the same as you have here in the States.Most important - plan ahead for where and what you want to do and enjoy yourself.

depends of where you want go... in big city less safe...other more safe
