Question : What's the best way to travel between Nice and Savona Italy with suitcases?
We will be cruising from Savona, Italy but flying into Nice.We were planning on taking the train, but the 3 of us will have 3 or 4 big suitcases for the cruise. Is there a bus? Will there be room for the big suitcases on a train? Is there anyone out there with experience on the Costa Fortuna?Costa doesn't answer our e mails.

Taking the train is anyway the most confortable way.Busses sometime don't admit passengers with big suitecase.For any information check

Are you trying to catch a 6pm departure from Savona for your cruise?The best way to get there is by train.From Nice airport, you have to get to the Nice train station which is called Nice Ville. The best way to get there is by taxi, but that will cost you anywhere from 25-30euros maybe a little more w/ the luggage. You can also take a bus, but that might be INCONVENIENT with the luggage you have. There are direct trains that leave Nice at 10:05 and arrives in Savona at 12:31 or a 14:05 departure and arrives at 16:31. There are other trains but they require 1 change which is no big deal if other times are more convenient for you. Check the times which are convenient for you at the SNCF website below.You can purchase your train tickets from the French rail website and keep the "Country in which the tickets are to be delivered or collected" as France so you can print your itinenary/tickets.There is ample space on the trains for everyone's luggage!! Bring snacks and drinks with you for the train trip.SNCF rail website, -
