Question : What's the best route to travel through Atlanta on?
Traveling from northwest Florida to Gatlinburg, TN, and want to avoid as much Atlanta traffic as possible. Any suggestions?

As a life-long resident of Atlanta, here is my suggestion:As you come north towards Atlanta, take I-285 around the West side of the city. This is usually the least congested area of interstate in the city. But, as a precaution, I would advise not to be travelling in/around Atlanta from 7am-9am or 4pm-7pm as these are the worst hours of 'rush hour'.
