I am going to Puerto Vallarta soon with a few friends who have been there before. I trust that they are experienced with traveling to Mexico. But someone had questioned if and vaccinations are suggested for travel to Mexico? I wasn't sure, and nobody mentioned it to me. Anything else I should know before going there as a "first timer"? We are taking our first honest to goodness family vacation - myself (mid 30's), my mother (mid 50's), and my daughter (16) in June. We decided on Puerto Vallarta as our location and will be staying at the Marriott CasaManga.Any tips/tricks would be greatly appreciated as we've never been to Mexico before (though we live in So. Cal). Any MUST SEE's would be great. We will be there for 7 nights and 8 days. My fiance's family is from Mexico and are traveling to the Puerto Vallarta area for the holidays. They want me to come down for a week to be with them, but they told me to make sure it is the new puerto vallarta.....what does that mean????
