She said that the cruise ships are tethered, but did not think that the ferry was running from Playa del Carmen to Cozumel. Hi, we are traveling to Playa del Carmen, Mexico in August for our 10 year wedding anniversary. We have the hotel (all inclusive), airfare and airport transportation already covered. This is a splurge for us and I am a frugal person by nature. How much money should we expect to need while we are there? I know that our food and such are all covered at the hotel but I also know that we will probably go out for the nightlife and will need to tip and such. I think one of the more creative ideas is snorkel in a cenote; is this something you can do in Tulum? I am considering selling my home with in 5 years and moving to Mexico. I will be 50 and will probably still need to work. I am an American, I work as a nurse. I speak Spanish pretty fluently.
