Question: #2: Has anyone hiked the "Haute Route" from Chamonix to Zermatt.?
My family and I will be doing the Haute Route this next summer. I need information on hotels or huts/chalets on the route. Also transportation from Paris to Chamonix/Zermatt to Paris. Is train the best way to travel? Rental car? I would appreciate any information, help, suggestions! Thanks.

we're there for 7 nights. thinking of doing one day at zermatt and one night at interlaken. Pls do let us know what's the best thing to see cause this would be a once in a lifetime thing. Question: #4: Where to catch the best view of the Swiss Alps?
I know, people have mentioned it and I have read about it, the best would probably be Jungfrau, Zermatt and Matterhorn, but the fact is that they are rather far from the route I am taking and it would be rather inconvenient for me. So this is my travel plans, could somebody tell me where can I photograph the best possible (and most memorable) picture of the Swiss Alps?1st day train from basel to Geneva, arriving in Geneva 9am, spend a whole day in Geneva2nd day early morning train to Montreux, where I will be visiting Cheatteau de Chillion, then afternoon train to Interlaken, where I will be for 4-5 hours. Then late evening train to Luzerne where I will spend a night3rd day Whole day spent in Luzerne (The city area only)Amongst these places, where can I catch the best sight of the alps? in the city, for example, or on train journey?
